Welcome to speechutopia.com, website of Speech and Language Services of South Texas, also known as SLS by our clients and contractors. SLS was founded in 1990 by Ann Fontenot, MA, CCC/SLP. Now located in Corpus Christi, Texas, SLS’s main office was initially established in Alice, Texas. Over the past 17 years, SLS has provided quality, easily accessible, and affordable speech therapy services to children and adults with speech, language and swallowing disorders in a variety of settings including schools, daycares, headstarts, home health, nursing homes, hospitals and outpatient settings. 

SLS providers are diverse in their experience, training and background.  Ann’s experience of 28 years makes her a valuable expert to provide therapy, consultation and/or continuing education services to meet patient and contractor needs.  She works closely with her employees so that they too can help clients benefit from their as well as her extensive experience.

Speech therapy services are covered by medicaid, medicaid hmo's and most health insurance plans. SLS is currenty a medicaid provider. Please contact the SLS office to inquire which insurance plans are accepted at this time. Checks and cash are also accepted as payment for services provided.
